What do School Governors do?

Governors are like a Board of Directors and they make decisions about how the school is run. They meet at least once a term at school. They are appointed to help:-

  1. Decide what is taught.
  2. Set standards of behaviour.
  3. Interview and appoint staff.
  4. Decide how the school budget is spent.

School Governors are:

  1. Parents.
  2. Teachers at the school.
  3. Local council representatives.
  4. Community representatives, businessmen and women.

The minutes of each Governor’s meeting are kept in school and are available to interested parents. Full Governing Body Committee Meetings 2016 -2018 Register of interests April 2018
